It’s Christmas !

Today the children have enjoyed decorating the classroom and the Christmas tree 🌲

It has been a busy day booking cakes for Maisie’s Birthday Party 🎂 We have learnt the names of the ingredients and measured them out before mixing them together.

Developing our cutting skills by making puppets to retell our story.

We have been busy building an obstacle course and strengthening our core muscle and balance by walking across them.

Happy Birthday Maisie! We have played pass the parcel to find our new story book.

We have had lots of fun raising money for children in need. Lots of dancing with Pudsey and we made our own Pudsey hats.

This week we have enjoyed celebrating Diwali by making our very own Diya lamps using salt dough.

Hello Friend 👋 We have been reading our new book Hello Friend and playing some of the games like the story with our new friends. 😊

Today we have learnt two new songs, Im a little tea pot and Tiny Tim. We have made spotty teapots this morning using the paint sticks and also explored making tea outside. This afternoon we have learnt Tiny Tim and had lots of fun exploring with the soap and flannels.

Thank you to everyone wo helped make our family picnic such a success, from the generous items on our community table to the fantastic Henna work in aid of Alder Hey hospital to the very generous sharing of food with staff, the day was fabulous.

We have been busy learning about cubes and cuboids. We used these 3d shapes to build bridges.

We have been looking at the text Only One You and sharing where we have come from and where we are now. We have made fish to represent the fish in the story.

It was so funny to find the Naughty Bus in my lunchbox trying to eat my lunch. 🤣

We have been working together taking turns to build tall buildings like the ones in our story Naughty Bus.

We have been learning some map skills and took a bus ride around our local streets. We were so excited to share where we lived and the route to our School.

We have been developing our fine motor skills and our vocabulary whilst exploring the brand the Naughty Bus drove through!

We opened a present and found the Naughty Bus! We have been busy making tall buildings and creating our own bus.

Celebrating Earth Day! We have found litter to recycle and made posters to take home.

It has been a busy day celebrating Eid 🥳 we have drawn henna hands, made party hats, played games and enjoyed dancing together.

We have been looking at signs of spring and have been learning the different parts of the daffodils.

Here we are finding the baby spring animals to match to their mothers. We learnt new animal names and discussed the animal features. 🐥 🐴 🐷 🐑 🐄

We have used the play dough and wooden sticks to make enclosure’s for the animals from our new story.

Today we have read the story The Animal Boogie and we have been busy creating enclosures for the jungle animals using the play dough.

We have been exploring the ice today and thinking of different ways to help it melt. Some suggestions were “put it in the sunshine” “put hot water on it” it was lots of fun and we learnt lots of new vocab rescuing the animals and describing the ice.

Can we beat the timer to put on our winter accessories? We were determined to make sure the gloves were on properly!

We have been working out how to rescue the animals from the ice. 🧊 “we need a hammer to hit it” “we need to melt it” were some suggestions.

We had so much fun exploring the snow on our first day back to school.
