In Year 2 we have discovered Blooket and we can’t get enough! We’ve used it to test our times table knowledge this week (as well as lots more too.)

Pic Collage – Kenyan Village

As part of our Geography topic we are comparing Kenyan villages and cities with Liverpool. We are making pic collages in computing to depict life in each area. On Thursday we made our Village posters of Maasai. Keep your eyes peeled for more next week as begin to compare and contrast in more detail,

We made our own maps of Lila’s village and used compass point directions to direct a friend around the map.

Year 2 Outdoor Club

We’ve had a great time over the last few weeks in Outdoor Club! We’ve played games, created dens and ended with a campfire. Huge thanks to the children of Year 2 for coming along each Tuesday.

Should Jack climb the beanstalk? We tried to persuade him and we took sides in class. We came up with some great reasons for and against the idea.

2GH have been painting using primary colours. We made sure that the paint was thick so that we could move it around the page and created our own ‘impasto’ techniques.

We have been investigating our first explorer Ibn Battuta in Year 2. We researched the countries he visited and how he travelled today.
